This Privacy Policy explains how Trak ("Trak", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Trak mobile app and related services (the "Service"). By using Trak you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

Account information: name, email address, and authentication identifiers (via our auth provider, Clerk).
Profile & wellness data: gender, age, height, weight, goals, focus areas, habits, and challenge activity you enter.
Health & fitness data: steps, active calories, and exercise/workout sessions that you explicitly connect from Apple Health or Android Health Connect. This data is used only to power in-app tracking and gamification and is never used for advertising.
Location: approximate and precise location, used only in the foreground while you record an activity (route, distance, pace).
Content you create: photos (e.g. meals), messages, community posts, and comments.
Usage & device data: app interactions, crash logs, diagnostics, and device identifiers, used for analytics and reliability.

2. How we use your information

Provide and personalize the Service (tracking, challenges, streaks, leaderboards, communities, live sessions).
Process subscriptions and creator community memberships.
Improve reliability and performance, and prevent abuse.
Communicate with you about your account and features.

3. Payments

Subscriptions are processed by Apple App Store and Google Play. We do not collect or store your payment card details; we receive only the transaction/receipt needed to activate your subscription.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers that operate the Service on our behalf (authentication, cloud hosting, analytics, crash reporting, and push notifications), bound to protect it. Health data is never shared for advertising.

5. Data retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account and associated data at any time from Settings → Delete Account in the app, or by emailing us. Deletion removes your profile, activity, and content, subject to limited legal/operational retention.

6. Security

Data is encrypted in transit. We apply administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the data.

7. Children

Trak is intended for users 18 years and older and is not directed to children.

8. Your rights

Depending on your region, you may request access, correction, or deletion of your data, and object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.

9. Changes

We may update this Policy; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
